Donald Albert Lambert passed away peacefully February 13, 2014. Born July15, 1924 in Racine, WI to Rachel and Albert Lambert. Graduated Park H.S., having played clarinet and worked as a soda jerk at the local pharmacy. His studies at Univ. of Wis. were interrupted by service in the U.S. Army during World War II, in France, Germany and Austria. Graduated Univ. of Wis., B.B.A. in Accounting, member Delta Sigma Pi.Employed on Audit Team at Bendix Corp., NY, where he met Louise Fisher. Louise and Don married Sept 1949, son Mark was born 1957. Family moved to Dallas in 1960 where Don was corp. accountant for Texas Instruments, Southwest Stone, Varo Corp., and Bill King's Brake-O. Don later owned and enjoyed operating Plano Sheet Metal from 1980 to 1992 before retiring. Don loved big band and jazz music, dogs, all things mechanical, sports cars, hot rods, flying, and spending weekends on projects in the garage with Mark. Long-time member of North Texas Austin- Healey Club. Pre-deceased by parents, wife Louise, and faithful dachshund Hilda. Survived by son Mark (wife Karen) and granddaughters Johanna and Peyton Lambert, of Dallas, and sister Marjorie Jensen and nephews Eric and Kyle Jensen, of Racine, WI. Internment Service Friday, March 7, 2014, 2 p.m., at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas.
