Michael Lee Langley was born October 1 1973 in Dallas, Texas. He passed away on May 31 2020 at home. He was preceded in death by his father- Roy Andrew Langley, his grandfather John McGibboney, his uncle Hugh McGibboney and his beloved grandma Emma McGibboney. He is survived by his mother Virginia L. Tessman. And many aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1991. After school, he attended North Lake Junior college in Irving where he pursued a certificate in computer technology. After completion of his schooling, he built computers and computer programs for many people. He built my first desk top computer with all the bells and whistles. He was very diligent in his computer work. Before his uncle Hugh passed away and was very ill, Michael took over as caregiver for his grandma. He did all the cooking, cleaning, washing and yard work for her before she passed away in 2010 at age 91. Then he fell into a dark period of his life where his depression started. Michael attended Lakeview Church with David and myself where he was baptized in 2017. He really enjoyed Sunday school that was taught by Larry Land. Michael attended truck driving school at one point of his life, thinking he'd like to travel the country. But, after several months on the road he decided that was not the life for him. Then he attended Concord School to pursue a career in being a physician's assistant. About one month into school the instructor told him that he was really too old to be selected for a job because there were too many young ladies in class that would be chosen over him. So, he dropped out. Michael worked for Jimmy John's in Las Colinas for the past 5-6 years. In the past 4-5 years, Michael took up a hobby of retooling hand guns and enjoyed going to a couple of gun ranges to shoot targets. After his death, my brother, Don, discovered a lot of superior gunsmith equipment in his room and mentioned the fact that Michael was very smart in the art of gun retooling and could have had his own business being a very successful gunsmith. Michael will be cremated and his remains buried at my nephew's cemetery in Scurry, Texas where I will be buried upon my death and where my loving husband David will also have his urn buried.
