Larry Zimmerman, 82, passed away peacefully in hospice care on May 31st, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.
Born on September 17, 1942, in Homestead, Pennsylvania, Larry was the son of the late Andrew Zimmerman and Mary Kovalcik Zimmerman.
He graduated from Fort Cherry High School and earned his degree from Robert Morris College.
Throughout his career, Larry held leadership roles in the restaurant industry, serving as Vice President of Real Estate and Development.
He was a proud member of First Lutheran Church in Washington, Pennsylvania, where he cherished the fellowship of friends he had made, including Reverend Robert Grewe.
Larry loved sports and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed watching games and spending time outdoors on the golf course.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Lori Zimmerman Chase, and her husband, Brad, both of Dallas, Texas. He also leaves behind his cherished niece, Patricia Platts (Raymond M.) of Scenery Hill, and two beloved great-nephews, Mark Platts of Brownsville and Ray Platts of Belle Vernon.
In addition to his parents. Larry was preceded in death by his brother Allan and sister-in-law, Thelma of Hickory, Pennsylvania.
A private burial will be held at a later date, allowing loved ones a quiet moment of remembrance.
In place of flowers, memorial donations can be made to First Lutheran Church, 92 West Walnut Street, Washington, PA 15301.
