Obituary

Leann peacefully lost her long battle with cancer and Parkinsons Disease on November 22, 2022, and entered Heaven to be with family members and friends. She was born June 29, 1953, to Dr. Larry and Betty Arnspiger in Oak Cliff, Texas. She attended Rosemont Elementary, W. E. Greiner Jr. High and Sunset High School. Leann went on to earn an Art History degree from Texas Tech University.

Leann is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Tom, his daughter Layla, son-in-law, Robby, and granddaughter, Ariel Alverson; Leanns brother, Mark, sister-in-law, Merrie, nephew, Parker; her brother Wayne and family; cousins in Kansas, Idaho and Texas; and many friends throughout the U.S. who will miss her very much.

In 1990, Leann went on a blind date and met her husband of 31 years, Tom Bryan of Dallas. Tom graduated from Woodrow Wilson in 1968. They have lived in the Dallas area all their lives. Leann was a true cat lover and especially loved her last two cats, Tabasco and Radar. Leann and Tom loved to travel and go antique shopping to locations throughout Texas. An avid painter, many friends and family have beautiful memories of her hanging on their walls.

Leann was also a very good cook.no, a great cook. One that could prepare most anything without a recipe. She worked as a chef early in her career at Pique Nique and UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Her dream job, however, was working at I.C. Deal Investments where she met Nancy Rodgers who would become a great friend for life.

Two years ago, Tom and Leann moved to CC Young so that Leann could receive the best care for her cancer and Parkinsons Disease. The family greatly appreciates the care she received during several stays at the Vista and we are forever grateful for the love and care she received in Hospice. The family would also like to thank Dr. Charles Lance Cowey, Leanns oncologist, who treated her with love and care for many years.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony presided by her cousin, Rev. Keith Boone, will be held at The Point at C.C. Young on Sunday, January 22nd, from 2:00 5:00 pm and all are welcome to attend. A private ceremony and burial will be held at DFW National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the CC Young Benevolence Fund or the Dallas SPCA.
