She was its first president, and watched it grow to become one of the largest and most successful women's golf associations in Texas. Cara moved to Frisco in 2000 to be near her daughter, and quickly became active in the community. She was a member of the Frisco Chorale, the Frisco Republican Party, and Stonebriar Community Church Choir. Cara was also a Frisco Library Foundation Member.
