Obituary

James (Jim) L. Lewis, Jr., 93, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on March 6, 2015. Jim was born on June 1, 1921 in Maynard, Texas to Lena and James Lewis and was the youngest child of 2 children. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII and was the receiptant of the US Army Distinguished Flying Cross for leading his squadron's raids on Nuremburg's rail yards. After the war, he completed his degree from UT in Mechanical Engineering. In 1951, he founded his company, Industrial Air and Hydraulics, where he served as President/CEO for over 40 years. He remained an active member of his church and community throughout his life. Known as Mr. Fix-It, he enjoyed welding art, building furniture, fixing cars, building computers and most of all cooking He is survived by his three daughters, Sylvia Williams, Marilynn Van Cleave and Jamie Running and their respective husbands, Scot Williams, Van Van Cleave and Peter Running; eight grandchildren and six+ great grandchildren (# 7 is on the way).
