Marcia (Marci) Lieber, 57, died March 31, 2014, in Dallas, Texas from complications of kidney and heart disease. Ms. Lieber was born March 21, 1957 in Brownsville, TX to Abraham and Miriam Lieber. The oldest of three children, Marci was a sharp and quick-witted student, who graduated Scarsdale High School two years early at the age of 16. In 1977, she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from American University in Washington D.C. and attended Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, CA. Throughout her 20s and 30s Marci managed operations for a variety of international companies allowing her to travel and work in London, Geneva, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, The Bahamas, and The Philippines. Choosing to settle in Dallas to raise her family, Marci owned and operated retail stores "Worlds Fare" and "Childrens Exchange" in North Dallas as well as managed customer service for Elite Optical in Plano. Marci was well-known for her kindness towards others and open-minded wisdom. She never hesitated to help others when she could, and she dedicated her later adult life to raising her children that she adopted from underprivileged families in other countries. Had she not gotten sick, shed planned on taking foster children in and extending her warmth even further to those who needed it. Two of Marcis greatest passions were reading and the beach. In the summers, Marci could often be found in the pool with a book in her hands, and she frequented bookstores and libraries with her son and daughter. She had an endearing sense of humor that charmed her children and others. Marci stayed strong throughout her life for her children and was their unwavering support. She is survived by her son Adam, 26, and daughter Sara, 23. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, April 4, 2014 at ARIA Memorial Chapel with Rabbi Jeffrey Leynor officiating.
