Walter William Link, age 71, died peacefully on September 22, 2015 in Plano, TX. Walt is survived by his wife, Louise; son, Daniel and his wife, Tia; daughter, Joslyn Meserve and her husband, Stephen; and grandchildren Ashley and Wyatt Link. Walt was born on January 30, 1944 in San Antonio to Minnie Shultz and Otto Link. He was raised in Omaha and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He married Louise Plechas in 1969. He was an active member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years. Walt was a huge fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and enjoyed fishing. He was a very caring person, extroverted and welcoming to a fault, a great storyteller and an even better story subject. A service is scheduled for Monday, September 28 at 11 AM at St. Andrew United Methodist in Plano, with a reception to follow.
