Saidona "Donna" Joseph Linstrom, who was 83, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. She was born September 13, 1935 in South Point, Ohio to Saied A. Joseph and Leona McKee Joseph. She was youngest and last surviving child of 7 children : William, Julia, Jean, Camilla, David, Dick, and Donna. She grew up in and graduated from South Point High School in South Point, Ohio in 1953. After graduation from high school, she went to work as an administrative assistant in the Department of Agriculture in Alexandria, Virginia. While in Alexandria, she met and married Harold Richard Linstrom on Feb 3, 1962. They were married for 57 years. Harolds 40+ year career with the Department of Agriculture took them to Hawaii where they adopted 2 children, Erik John and Alissa Malia, and then they moved to New Orleans, Louisiana where they gave birth to their 3rd child, Stephan Gregory Linstrom in 1969. They took all 3 children and moved to Brazil for 2.5 years and then moved back to Virginia. Donna worked as Administrative Assistant in the Fairfax County Public School system for 25 years.She had a quick wit and loved dancing and music, cooking from scratch with her family traditional Syrian-Lebanese food, sewing, arts and crafts, needlepoint & crochet work, gardening, as well as being an ever -present supporter at all her childrens youth sporting programs. Also, she particularly enjoyed their family summer vacations in South Bristol, Maine. After Hal and Donna retired they moved to Jupiter, Florida to be near some of their grandchildren and lived there for 20 years. She is survived by their 3 children, and 4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexandra, Lucas, and Katherine Linstrom. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. The family will be having a small gathering to celebrate her life sometime in the near future.
