LORNA SCARLETT SCRUGGS

After a long and courageous battle with lung disease, Lorna went to see her Heavenly Father on December 31, 2025. Lorna was born in 1944 in Ft Worth, Texas to Mr. John and Erna Scarlett. She attended Weatherford Jr. High School, then went on to attend Weatherford Sr. High School, where she participated in pep club, art club, and various activities. She was first runner -up in the Homecoming Queen Contest. She graduated in 1963.

Lorna loved to travel and visited many foreign countries over the years, always bringing back beautiful treasures from each. From Peru to France, Scotland, Italy, Scandinavia and Greece, just to name a few.

Lorna loved to entertain and always opened her home to friends during the holidays. Her home was always beautifully decorated. She was employed by L'Oréal as a Makeup Consultant before going to work at Neiman Marcus at North Park for over 35 years as their top sales consultant for Estee Lauder. Lorna loved her customers and every Christmas took the time to send each one of them a Christmas Greeting.

Lorna is survived by her son, Shane, and many dear friends. Also, special gratitude to Dr. Nadler and his staff at the Cancer Center at Baylor Hospital. She leaves behind cousins and extended family in Parker County.

A Springtime Celebration of Life will be held at the family cemetery near Weatherford.
