Louie Rey, 52, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022. He was born in El Paso, Texas, to Gilberto Rey and Socorro Vargas Rey on July 20, 1969. After graduating from Duncanville High School, he went into the military, serving as a transportation specialist in peacetime as well as in Desert Storm. He later attended Southwestern Assembly of God University and Dallas Baptist University, obtaining his MBA.
Louie married Becky Jordan in 2002. They met on a missions trip and had grand adventures together for almost 20 years. Louie's hobbies and interests were first and foremost his family and raising their three daughters Chloe, Zoe, and Ruby. He was absolutely wrapped around their little pinkies. The one word that best describes Louie is PASSION. He was passionate about his family, work, spiritual matters, politics, and personal growth and was unafraid to tackle any obstacles. He was a warrior.
We will perpetually feel the void of Louie's unique presence and zeal. His humor and laughter will always ring in our hearts. Louie will forever be missed and loved by all who knew him.
Louie is survived by his wife Becky Rey; his daughters Chloe, Zoe, and Ruby; his mother, Socorro Vargas Rey; his brothers Tom Rey and Gilbert Rey; his sisters Sylvia Casas, Irma Delgado, Patricia Lowery, Yolie Perdue, Elva, and Monica Torres; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
