Charles "Chuck" Davenport Lustfield completed his life's journey on April 18, 2014 after a long battle with brain cancer. He was born on June 20, 1938, raised in the Chicago area and obtained his Bachelors degree from the University of Illinois in Mathematics, followed by a Masters and Ph.D. from Arizona State University. He was a math professor at Ohio University from 1968-1978. He left the profession and moved his family to Dallas in 1979. Chuck became a certified Rolfer and Bioenergetic Therapist in the early 80's until 2012, when he was diagnosed and forced to close his practice. His clients knew him to be a skilled practioner, one who listened and impacted many lives for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife Sheila; son Andrew Lustfield; daughter Elizabeth Steinberger and her husband Poldi; his grandchildren Katherine and David. He is also survived by his stepsons: Ian Bester, David Frank, Tim Frank, and stepdaughter Shoshona Frank, stepgrandchildren Noah and Hanna; his sister Susan Woodrum; and brother Bill Lustfield. Chuck was known as a vibrant, personal friend to all those he met. Family and friends were important to Chuck. He was active in his two professions serving in many board positions, active in a men's support group, Slow Food book club, and Temple Community Garden. He collected art, enjoyed listening to jazz, blues and classical music. Until the brain cancer took him down, he bicycled 28 miles every Sunday morning.
