Lynda K Tomberlin, 75, devoted wife and mother, strongly devout Christian, avid gardener, and exceptional lifelong teacher, both in and out of the classroom, left this earth to be with our Lord on January 13, 2024. Lynda is survived by her husband, Bill, of 50 years; her two sons, Jonathan and Micah; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lloyd and Jeanie Tomberlin; sister-in-law Paula Stringer; and her nieces and nephews, Justin, Ashley, Daniel, and David. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Frank and Virginia Stringer, and her brother, Tony Stringer. Lynda was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. Her kind spirit was infectious, and anyone that knew her was a better person for it. She was a lifelong teacher whos passion for her craft was second to none. Her students meant the world to her and she changed many young lives throughout her career. She retired in 2013 to enjoy spending time with Bill, her flowers, and going to estate sales with her best friend Sandy. Lynda will be missed by so many, but her spirit will forever be present for anyone that needs her wisdom and guidance.
