Macaria Faller Carino, 100, died at Prestonwood Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Plano, Texas on January 31, 2025, during a brief stay.

Macaria was born on January 2, 1925 in Hilongos, Leyte Philippines. She spent the last 10 years living in Lewisville, Texas with her daughter Hermie and son-in-law Louie Floresca. Macaria was a homemaker; she taught her children "to Enjoy life" because it is a blessing. Macaria Faller Carino believed in God and was a faithful member of Cosmopolitan United Church of Christ until her illness.

Macaria is survived by three daughters: Hermie Floresca (Manuel Luis Floresca) of Lewisville, Texas, Nenita Sy Satyal Baje, and Anabelle Sy Fondavida (Florante Fondavida). She also leaves to cherish her memory of 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

Macaria was preceded in death by her parents Simplicio Carino and Carlosa Faller, her husband Sy Gui Kian, two daughters; Maria Lourdes Vetus and Adora Tan, four brothers; Abias Carino, Felix Carino, Sofronio Carino and Fausto Carino, 2 sisters; Dominga Carino and Margarita Cartagena, and one great grandson Jason Tan.

Services will be held at Cosmopolitan United Church of Christ on February 22, 2025, at 2:00PM, located at 1200 Metrocrest Drive, Carrollton, Texas.
