Marcia Estelle Chastain, passed away on July 31, 2022, surrounded by her loving daughters. She was a beloved and caring Mom, Daughter, Sister, and Grandmother. Marcia is survived by her 3 daughters: Lindsay (Dallas, TX), Melissa (Dallas, TX) and Kari (Belleville, TX) and her greatest joys, her 5 grandchildren: Tripp, Avery Kate, Knox, Alexandra and Isabel, her brother, James and her nephew, Michael. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and brother, Gerald. Marcia was born in Oklahoma City on December 30, 1948, to Cecil and Fannie Dennis. She attended Southeast High School in Oklahoma City, where she was a Cheerleader for the mighty Spartans. She never lost her gift for being the loudest one cheering on her friends and family. Everyone who knew Marcia will tell you that she loved her family, and she loved Jesus,… and the occasional glass of 2 buck chuck. Marcia would tell the story of the 2nd grade, when her desk was first moved to the corner for too much talking. Knowing Marcia, that would hardly have slowed her down. Marcia was happiest when she was sharing laughter, stories, prayers, and support with those she cared about. Marcia never met a stranger, and her smile would light up any room. Marcia was a bright light at work, quickly making her co-workers feel like family. She cherished her work family and retired from First Rate Financial in 2017 as the self-titled VP of First Impressions. Many of her favorite times were in Southeastern Oklahoma where she spent childhood summers making memories (and a little mischief) with her favorite cousins. The joy (and mischief) continued the rest of her life at her brother Gerald's home in Antlers, Oklahoma, where holidays were filled with more laughter, food, and grandbaby snuggles.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 8 at 11am at the
