Margaret Ann Benesh was born in Prague, Oklahoma on October 22, 1939. After school in Norman, Oklahoma, she worked at the telephone company until she was hired by Braniff Airways. She was hired as a reservations agent but soon qualified as a flight attendant. She took to the skies doing her dream job and flying all over the world. She flew from 1962-1989. Following her stint at Braniff she worked for A. G. Edwards until her retirement in 2008.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Alvina Heinzig Benesh, her brother Richard Benesh, and her longtime companion Charles "Charlie" Searcy. She is survived by her nieces Deborah Benesh and Patricia Benesh Honeysuckle, her nephew R. Terry Benesh, Terry's children Allison and Emily, and her great-great niece Essi.
Celebration of Life services will be held October 22, 2 pm at Preston Hollow Methodist Church, 6315 Walnut Hill Ln., Dallas. Her favorite charities were Straydog in Gun Barrel City, Texas and the North Texas Food Bank.
Maggie's family and heritage were important to her. She will be interred at the Czech National Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma, next to her parents and in the company of several generations of her family.
Her sweet smile and caring nature will be missed by all.
