María Alma De Leon, 73, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on September 20, 2025.

María was a devoted Catholic, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She dedicated her life to God and her family, living with selfless love, sacrifice, and joy. Known for her faith and generosity, she shared her love daily through prayer, service to others, and her warmth in the kitchen, especially her famous tamales that brought her family together.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pedro De Leon, and her siblings Eva Carrillo, Victoria Carrillo, Francisca Carrillo, Elvia Carrillo, and Juana Carrillo.

María is survived by her children Brenda De Leon, Pedro De Leon (wife Samantha De Leon), and Luis De Leon; her grandchildren Aileen Rodriguez, Juventino Chi, Adelina De Leon, Dahlia De Leon, Nikola De Leon, and Emma Grace De Leon; and her great-granddaughter, Ava Becerril. She is also survived by her siblings Emma Carrillo, Guadalupe Carrillo, and Francisco Carrillo, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will continue to cherish her memory.

María leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and laughter that will live on through her family.
