Obituary

Maria de los Angeles Dueas "Analis McGann" was born August 5, 1935 in Mexico City and was welcomed to her Father's table on Holy Thursday (April 14th, 2022) in Plano, TX. Analis was the youngest of fourteen children. They were born to Lupita and Miguel Duenas of Spain, who passed away before her sixth birthday. She grew up in boarding schools ran by the order of the Teresian sisters. Her oldest sister Guadalupe and youngest brother Manuel acted as her guardians (and later acted as guardians for Analis' two daughters.) As a young lady, she worked in a bank and taught English as a second language. She was part of the Lady's Society at the Club de Espaa. While traveling, she met her first husband in 1962. She was married for two years and was blessed to give birth to her two daughters. She obtained an annulment by the Catholic Church eight years later. While visiting some dear friends in Dallas, (Barbara Kirby Gandy), she was introduced to William "Mike" Mcgann of Electra, TX. They got married in Guanajuato, Mexico. They later lived in Woodland Hills, California as well as Denver, Colorado. Due to extenuating life circumstances, Analis' daughters were sent to live to Mexico with Guadalupe and Manolo. Both Analis' daughters and Mike's children would visit them during summers and holidays. As a family, they were frequent travelers to San Diego, Las Vegas, and Disneyland and would enjoy going to the beach, skiing, and discovering little towns and eating the best, most delicious food. Analis and Mike moved to Dallas, TX and became parishioners of All Saints Catholic Church. She was very strong in her catholic faith, was an avid watcher of ETWN and prayed the rosary daily and faithfully. She had a passion for making friends everywhere she went and hosting get-togethers and parties. She had a big group of friends from Latin America. She loved talking on the phone for hours, especially with her friend Tere de la Fuente. Analis loved buying gifts for friends and 'prizes' for her grandchildren. She loved traveling to Mexico and eating chongos, chiles rellenos, smoothies, and ice cream cones from McDonalds. Analis is preceded in death by her parents, thirteen sibings, two of whom she was closest to being Guadalupe and Manuel Dueas. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Mike McGann. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Lupita de la Cueva and her children Jose Manuel, Jacky, and Sofia Vega; her second daughter Tere and her husband Eduardo Lobo and their children Ana Tere, Eduardo, and Stephanie Lobo, her two great grandchildren Dominic and Santiago Dufreche, her stepchildren Holly Watson, Michael McGann, Melody McGann, Melissa Baker, and Michelle Weaver, numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated At All Saints Catholic Church: 5231 Meadowcreek Dr Dallas, Texas 75248 Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 11:00 A.M Rosary preceding mass at 10:30.
