Marivel "Mari" Ortiz Gonzalez, 59 years old has entered eternal rest on November 10, 2023, at UT Southwestern Medical Center Dallas. She was born on April 25, 1964, in Eagle Pass, Texas before moving to Dallas where she grew up and ran her own housecleaning business with her mother until early retirement where she would spend most of her mornings at her favorite restaurant, Carmen's Caf. Mari was a big Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe fan shown with her collection of 50's and 60's artwork. Mari is survived by her loving mother Diamantina Ninfa Ortega; siblings Guillermo Ortiz II, Hector Ortiz, Nereida Ortiz, Thelma Tovar, Mario Ortiz, and Ernestina Perez; son Juventino Gonzalez; and daughters Vanessa Ann Gonzalez and Dulce Maria Rico. Daughter in-law, Stephanie Leal, son-in law Remy Sisavath, and 5 grandchildren. Mari was preceded in death by her father, Guillermo Ortiz; granddaughter Layla Marie Gonzalez; cousins "Chuco" Torres and "Smiley" Ortega; and best friend, Rachel Martinez.
