On December 3rd, 2024, at 10:16pm, Mark Anthony Herrera met his Lord and Savior surrounded by his wife, children and parents after a strong fight against cancer.

Mark was born on September 11th, 1971, and grew up in Pecos, Texas. He moved to Dallas with his family for work in the land surveying business where he was able to put his interest in math, coordinates and topography to good use. Outside of working, Mark enjoyed hosting barbecues featuring his famous brisket, playing golf and watching The Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his wife, Kristie Ontiveros, daughters: Jacqueline and husband Adam Herrell, Loryn, Madisen and Rylie, his two sons, Joshua and Jonah, and his granddaughter Layla. He is also survived by his parents Mary and Eloy Herrera of Pecos, sister Francis Vasquez of Pecos, brother Eloy Herrera III of California and sister Amanda of Pecos.

His life will be celebrated on Monday December 9th at 12:00 PM at North Dallas Funeral Home at 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas.
