Markarian,
Ciatel
Apr 22, 1932 — Nov 24, 2019
Ciatel Markarian was born in Saveh, Iran in 1932. Silvart, as she was referred to was the youngest of 5 children. She married Simon Markarian and had four children Vrej, Sarkis (Lisa), Nejdeh (Nazi), and Shahn. At the tender age of 36, she lost her beloved Simon, and was left to raise 4 boys on her own. She was a strong person who loved fiercely and although life wasn't always easy, Silvart maintained her humor, positive attitude and an ability to adapt and embrace life to the fullest. In 1982 she left Iran and everything she knew to join her children who immigrated to the United States to pursue a better life. Medz Mom or Dadig, as she was also lovingly referred to by her grandchildren and great grandchildren was the apple of their lives. No need or request for her children or grandchildren was too large. She taught them the meaning of true love by her example of generosity to others. She was the epitome of selfless love and was the glue in the family. Ciatel always had a kind word for everyone and was the closest one can be to being an angel on earth. She was loved immeasurably by her children and grandchildren (Tina Pariai, Teo Pariai, Teni Pariai, Patrick Pariai, Gerick Pariai, Nuvair Markarian, Aved Markarian, Silvia Markarian), and all those who were lucky to be touched by her love and care. A private funeral service will be held in her memory. Donations in lieu of flowers are being made in her memory to St. Sarkis Armenian Church, 1805 Random Road, Carrollton, Texas, 75006.
