Obituary

Martha "Carol" Blackberg gained her angel wings on March 27th, 2018, with her family by her side in Denton, Texas. She was born April 8th, 1941 in Canyon Texas, the daughter of James A. Butler, and Zella Laughery Butler. Carol graduated from Tulia High School, and had a long career in finance, retiring from Ford Motor Credit in 1994. Family and Friends were Carol's greatest joy. She loved to travel, and read every book she could get her hands on. She could spot a garage sale sign from a mile away, and would not be able to pass it up. Her retirement years were dedicated to charity work and she spent many hours helping those in need. Sunday's would find her in church singing her beloved hymns. She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace that was waiting for her when her body could no longer contain her compassionate soul. Carol is survived by her spouse Wendell "Butch" Blackberg, Her daughters and their spouses, Lori and John Linn, Lisa and Mike McArthur, and Jerisa and Kraig Krause. Grandsons, Trey Romero and his wife Nicola, Joshua McArthur, David McArthur, and Koby Krause. Granddaughters, Michelle Romero, Rachel McArthur, and Kaitlin Krause.
