Frank Aguilera Martinez, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30th, 2018 due to complications after surgery. He was born in Strawn, TX on March 20th, 1941 to Fidencio and Manuela "Mamie" Aguilera Martinez. He was preceded in death by his brother John Martinez. He is survived by brothers, Robert Martinez and Manuel Martinez; sisters-in-law, Elvia Martinez and Joann (John) Martinez; his three children, Melissa Blassingille, Evan Martinez and Veronica Martinez; two grandchildren, Miles and Ella; son-in-law, James Blassingille; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and Maria Carmen McCormick, with whom he shared his last 23 years. A man of many talents, he enjoyed endeavoring outdoors and had a kinship for woodworking. Having a great appreciation for the arts, he enjoyed viewing movies of many genres and if not found watching a movie, he was reading a book. Using his talent as a graphic artist, he was employed by Southwestern Bell for 37 years, where he made many memorable friends and lasting impressions. As an avid cartoonist, he exhibited brilliant wit and humor. Beloved as a father, brother and uncle he was known for his noteworthy character, giving heart and will be missed by all.
