With heavy hearts… we announce that after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's disease, the passing of Mary Helen (Hickman) Frantz on January 15, 2025.

Mary was born March 23, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

While attending the University of Iowa she became a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. In addition, she cherished an active life-long membership in the national educational-philanthropic PEO organization. She lived her last years in Dallas, Texas, making home a reservoir of blessings for her entire family. Finding joy in everyday life, Mary's love, kindness and caring concern will be forever remembered by those whose lives she touched.

Mary leaves behind her husband Ed, son David and daughter Sarah. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Marshall Hickman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her spirit will surely live on through the cherished memories of her many friends and family.

Mary's body will be cremated, her ashes placed in the columbarium of the First United Methodist Church of Richardson, Texas. There will be no services. Those wishing to express their appreciation for her life are invited to do so by contributing to their favorite charitable organization.
