Mary Lynn Sample of Anna, TX, passed away on November 23, 2024, at the age of 80 after an extended illness.

She is survived by her daughters Angela and Melanie Truitt, and grand­daughter Ashley Terry. Mary is also survived by her sisters Glenda Sparks and Virginia Armstrong (Jerry) and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Kelly Truitt.

She was born in Winnsboro, TX to William and Lodema Mills and was the youngest of five siblings: Janelle Calhoun (deceased), Wayne Mills (de­ceased), Glenda Sparks and Virginia Armstrong.'The sisters' enjoyed many years of travel, going to lunch, playing Scrabble, and just being together. Mary was a devoted sister who was loved deeply.

She was a graduate of Winnsboro High School and had many great memories and several friends that she remained close with since graduating in 1962.

In 1999, she met and married John C. Sample and they retired, traveled, and traveled some more before landing in McKinney, TX where she lived for 19 years.

She joined First McKinney after John passed in 2008. She was a loved mem­ber of the Agape Class at First McKinney.

She will be deeply missed.
