Ward Mayborn passed away on June 1, 2013 after a difficult battle with his health. He was born on October 17, 1940 to Curtis Mitchell and Ted W. Mayborn in Temple Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother Mitch Mayborn and his granddaughter Nancey Leigh Ketch. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancey and their 4 children: Carrie Bohman and her husband Tim, Scott Mayborn and his wife Laura, Temple Ketch and her husband Andy, and Curt Mayborn; their 8 grandchildren, Kristen Berry and her husband Frank, Sarah Weaks and her husband Zak, Kyle, Gage and Aubrey Mayborn, Peter, Mallory and Becky Ketch; and Wards brother Don Mayborn. Ward met Nancey Wadley when they were 12 years old. They were high school sweethearts, and from that moment on, the love of each others lives. Ward had a passion for his work and his family, and began Uncommon Market with his brother Don in 1971. He was able to combine his love for his work with the love of his family each and every day. Ward was a creative genius, a true mans man of astounding talents and a person of vast and wide-ranging experience who could make anything fun. He was a devoted and emotionally connected individual that will leave his legacy through his family, friendships, and works of all descriptions.
