Tommie Sue Mayfield was born on May 18, 1937 in Irving, Texas and passed away on December 18, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Irving High School. She met and fell in love with Henry Martinez and started helping out with the family business, El Fenix restaurants. They married and had 2 children Christina and Mike. Both attended St. Monica School, where Tommie became known as everyone's second mom. She never met a stranger and her home was always open to everyone. When you think of her you will always think of her in the kitchen cooking something delicious, sharing stories and enjoying time with family and friends. Tommie was preceded in death by her parents CC and Exie Waggoner, husbands Henry Martinez, Allen Walker and Don Mayfield, sisters Mary Jo Sinclair, Jeraldine Lloyd and Gwenda Simpson. She was survived by her daughter Christina Martinez and wife Michele; her son Mike Martinez and wife Ranelle; step-children, Kathy Clark and husband Jamie, Beth Meyers and husband Anthony, Wes Mayfield; as well as grandsons, Mike Matthew and Addison Martinez, Nathan Bebo, Sam Clark, Cameron and Caleb Meyers, Brandon Mayfield, Daniel and Melanie Walker; brother Craig Waggoner; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousin and too many friends to list. You were an amazing mother, sister and friend and you will be forever in our hearts. The Memorial Service will be Friday January 20th at 11:00 am at St. Monica Catholic Church followed by a reception at the St. Monica Parish Center.
