Susan Elizabeth McBeth, beloved daughter and sister, died peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at age 54. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jody McBeth, in 1993, her step-mother, Carolyn McBeth, in 2012, and her sister, Sydney McBeth, this past January. She is survived by her father, Charles McBeth, her Godparents, Uncle and Aunt, Joe and Mary Sue Pratt, and many wonderful and loving cousins. Sydney was a talented, professional singer, but always said Suzy had the better voice. Suzy did sing on weekends at Swan Court in Richardson from time to time, and seemed to be able to do whatever she wanted to and do it well. In the 5th grade she, on her initiative, put together a grade school newspaper, The Heights Gazette, four or five letter-size pages with a Sports Section and other typical newspaper sections, together with a few "reporters" she recruited. When the teachers discovered it they made and distributed copies. About the same time she taught some of the younger kids in Vacation Bible School. She worked in sales her adult life, and as she put it, sold "everything that's legal." Thank you, God, for letting us have our precious Suzy for this brief time, and the joy she brought to us. When Sydney passed away in January, Suzy and I were overwhelmed at the wonderful support from our family and friends and Sydney's friends. I know that there would be similar support and condolences for Suzy at her service as well, but I hope you understand that I have decided not to have a church or memorial service for Suzy. Suzy's ashes will be placed in the same niche as Sydney's at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration's columbarium in a private ceremony at a time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of the Transfiguration, 14115 Hillcrest, Dallas, Texas 75254. When Jody died Suzy went with me to make arrangements at the funeral home, the church and other places at this most stressful time. She took the lead in making arrangements for Sydney and gave a beautiful eulogy for Syd. We found this wonderful church to be a haven of love and support. I know God will grant Suzy the most wonderful blessings of heaven. May God bless our friends and family for their help, their love and support. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700
