Jacqueline "Jackie" West McMurry passed away on Friday, February 20th 2015 in Richardson, TX at the age of 65. Beloved daughter of George and Mary (Christoff) West, she graduated from Mineral Wells High School where she was the head cheerleader and voted a class favorite. Jackie held various jobs in Dallas in banking, customer service and with charitable foundations. Jackie was very proud of her work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Shriners of Dallas. She was moved and inspired to help those less fortunate - especially if they were children. Jackie was the most giving soul that graced the earth. She would give strangers the shirt off her back - literally. And even though she didn't have much, Jackie always made sure those around her shared in anything she had to offer. Her driving force and motivation, though, was her love of her children and grandchildren. Nothing made her more happy than to see her children succeed or to give a gift - no matter how small - to her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Joey McMurry (Jody); her daughter Molly McCormack (Sean); her grandchildren Josh, Sarah, Hailey (preceded in death April 2003), Sam and William; her beloved sisters Patty Sanders (Warren), Georgianne Lee (Terry, preceded in death Jan 2013) and Barbara Chapman (Jimmy); and many nieces and nephews whom she adored. She will surely be missed by all who love her. A private celebration of life ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 14th, 2015. In lieu of flowers (and in honor of Jackie's lifelong commitment to generosity), the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or The Salvation Army (www.salvationarmy.org).
