Phyllis Loraine Metcalf-Brown, 74, died Thursday January 1, 2015 at the Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, OK after a long battle with cancer. She leaves her husband Joe Brown, her two daughters; Lynn Kertz and her husband Tommy Kertz; Jeanne Stell-Mass and her husband Al Mass; her two sons Rodney DeFrance and his wife Angela DeFrance; Jack Metcalf Jr. and his wife Angela Metcalf; four grandchildren (Harrison and Amy Stell; Zachary and Zoe Metcalf) and three great grandchildren (Carolina, Harrison Jr. and Alexander Stell) Phyllis was born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca. She was the daughter of Frank and Thelma Hibbs. She recently earned her Master's Degree in Accounting. She was very adventurous and loved fishing, horseback riding and cooking exotic meals. In her early years she was a pilot, competitive water skier and jumped out of a plane or two. Aria Cremation Service & Funeral Home in Dallas has been entrusted with arrangements and she will be laid to rest at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 9 a.m. on January 6th - alongside Jack W.
