Michael Bowers, 68, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 14 after a years-long illness.

Michael is survived by his wife of 44 years, Eddie Lennard Bowers; stepson Shawn Reed and grandchildren Connor and Peyton Reed; one sister, Jana Rogers, and husband Matt; one brother-in-law, David Dennard; and two maternal aunts, Gayle Howington (husband Bob), and Kathy Comer.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Jeanette Bowers, and sister Angela Dennard.

Born in Dallas on July 24, 1956, and raised in Irving, Michael graduated from Mac Arthur High School in 1974 and earned a BBA from SMU in 1979. He and Eddie wed on January 25, 1980, and lived primarily in the Dallas metroplex during their marriage.

A developer and entrepreneur in both Texas and Colorado, Michael enjoyed the outdoors, especially snow skiing. He also loved golf, gardening, and cooking. Michael was curious, cheerful, and had a heart for serving others. He was active in men's Bible study groups and a devout Christian faith was the foundation of his life.

A Celebration of Life honoring Michael will be held on November 13, 2024, at 2 p.m., at Aria Funeral Home, 19310 Preston Road in Dallas.
