Donald Gene Mitchell peacefully passed at the place he called home on January 31,2018. In heaven he joins both his parents, Edgar and Dollie Mitchell, and his brother and sister, Charles and Pauline(Dillard). Don, as he was known to many, is survived by his wife Della M. Mitchell. Donald was also father to Donald Mitchell Jr., Trina Denise Mitchell and raised Cynthia Louise Roddy (Walker) as his own at an early age. Not only was he a loving father to his children, her also raised his granddaughter Cheniqua Alanis (husband Lee Alanis). Don was also blessed with a great granddaughter, Leelamai Alanis. Don enjoyed many activities over his life time that included fishing, race cars and long drives down the country roads. After serving his country as a member of the United States Army, Don worked for but not limited to Orbit Automotive, Anheuser-Busch and as a truck driver. Don NEVER met a stranger. He was very kind and humble. He was simply known as Mr. Mitchell in the community, especially at his local Wal-Mart and McDonalds.
