Hedi Lee Moffitt passed away at Harris Hospital in Ft. Worth on December 30, 2014. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Hedi was born on September 29, 1968 in Ft. Worth to Zeta Rae and John Henry Hinkle. Hedi was 8 when her mother married Jack Grant who became "daddy". She was preceded in death by both Dads and her stepmother Helen Hinkle. She grew up in White Settlement, TX and attended Brewer High School. Hedi moved with a three year old to Hot Springs, South Dakota, in 1991, where she started her life with Brian Moffitt. They were married on September 16, 1992. Later moving to Gillette, Wyoming until 2009 when Brian retired from the BNSF railroad and as promised moved her back to Texas. They raised four children. Hedi suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in 1998. She wasnt ready to meet the Lord yet, and he let us keep her for 16 more years. Hedi loved being a wife, mother, and grandma and thanked God that she didnt have to work outside of the home. Hedi took in any teen girl that was having a bad time. Her daughter brought her friend Raechell and her two week old daughter Madyson home one day, they did not leave for four years, which allowed Raechell to finish high school. Hedi read her Bible daily. Hedi loved all music, particularly country, old and new. She could recite all the words to the movie "Coal Miners Daughter" which got everyone laughing. Her favorite artist was Alan Jackson and his song "Red like a Rose". She instilled that love of music in all of her children. Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Brian Moffitt, son Joshua and wife Audrey, daughter Jessica, daughter Brittianey and husband Marques Fox, and son Christopher, five granddaughters and a grandson a couple weeks away.
