Monika Thompson was born on February 24th, 1943, in Berlin, Germany, to her parents Gerhard and Maria Jacob. Monika was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother. Throughout her life, she worked as a kindergarten and preschool teacher, along with working in the insurance industry for 24 years.

Monika is survived by her husband Kenneth Thompson; her brother Michael Kersten; her daughter Judy Lynes; her son Robert Thompson; her five grandchildren, Nicole, Alex, Adrianna, Chelsea, and Alec; and her great-grandson Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerhard and Maria Jacob; her brother Joachim Jacob; and her sister-in-law Jenny Kersten.

Monika Thompson passed away on March 2nd, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. A celebration of life will be held at Aria Funeral Home located at 19310 Preston Road Dallas, TX on Sunday, March 8th, 2026 from 10:00am – 12:00pm.
