Obituary

Richard Donald Montague Jr. (Dick) of Mckinney, Tx passed away at home on December 30, 2020 at the age of 82. He was born on November 15, 1938 to Richard and Marie (Guy) Montague in Everett, Mass. His family had lived in Dayton, Ohio, then moved to California and bought a home in Garden Grove, where Dick attended high school. He served in the U.S. Army for three years and loved to recount stories from that time. He married JoAnn Wittenburg on June 13, 1964. They were married 56 years. He is survived by his wife JoAnn and their 9 children and spouses, 25 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Todd (&Ben) Montague (grandchildren Neil & Jon), Dean (& Shari) Montague (grandchildren Isabella (&Colton) Cahoon +Great granddaugter Eisley, Samuel, Matthew (& Karen), Ava, & Olivia), Mark (&Amanda) Montague (grandchildren Kyle Anderson, Alexis, Braeden, & Trista), Michelle (& Scott) Morell (grandchildren Emma, Edward Ullman, Max, Michael, Kate, Claire, Ethan, & Luke), Dawn (&Dan) Adams (grandchildren Noah Altice, Kaya Altice, Andrea Altice, & Eli), Erin (& Elizabeth) Montague, Shannon (& Jose) Gordan (granddaughter Elena), Amber (& Omar) Aguirre (granddaughter Zoe), & Brett (&Paige) Montague. Along with his brother James Montague (spouse Aileen), brother in law George Knight, sister in laws Jasmine Wittenburg Fine (spouse Richard) & LaVern Wittenburg Schulz. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara, sister in law Sandra Wittenburg Schauer and spouse George, and brother in law Glen Schulz. Though he slowly lost his memories due to Alzheimer's, he never lost his strong connection and faith in his Father in Heaven. 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
