Morgan Fleck Johnston, 65, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born October 13, 1960, to Stuart and Beverly Johnston, Morgan was the fifth of seven brothers, all of whom survive him.

Morgan is also survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Susan, the love of his life. Together they built a life centered on family, friendship and unwavering support for one another. He is also survived by his three children: Natalie, Alex and his wife Grace, and Samantha and her husband Zach. And his three precious grandchildren: Olivia, Morgan, and Scotty. All of whom he treasured and adored.

A respected attorney in the oil and gas industry, Morgan genuinely loved his work and the people he worked alongside. He approached his career with intelligence, integrity and dedication, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Before his legal career, Morgan was a talented and natural two-sport Division I athlete in both baseball and football. And later in life he turned his attention to perfecting his golf game. He loved that the game tested his patience and mental strength, which he had copious amounts of. The game was truly a metaphor for his life, that success never happens overnight but comes through the constant practice, perseverance and the willingness to challenge oneself. It remained one of his greatest pleasures, and the memories he created on the course will be cherished by everyone who had the chance to share a round with him.

Morgan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, coworker, coach, and friend. He led with humor, generosity and a love for his family. His presence made people feel welcomed, supported, and valued. The lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
