Obituary

Samuel "Sam" Eugene Morgan passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on May 6, 2018 in Dallas, Texas Sam is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Anna Morgan; his daughter, Rachel Morgan Hopkins and her husband Rob, and son Carl Morgan; stepsons Joey Flores and his wife, Mandy; Adam Flores and his wife, Iris; three beautiful step-granddaughters; brother, Jack Morgan and his wife Kris; sister, Marsha Elias, and niece Michelle Morgan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Morgan, his niece Melissa Morgan Herbel, and his beloved animals, Bondo, Hoots, Cougar, and Smokey. Sam was born on February 4,1955 in Dallas to Jack and Mary Morgan. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1973. Sam will be remembered for his big heart, wonderful sense of humor, outgoing personality, love of music & playing the guitar. He also loved to fish and tinker in his garage. His children will especially miss his funny text messages and voicemails that he would leave at all times of the day or night. Sam was a successful business owner of several dry cleaners in the Dallas area in the 1980's; he befriended many of his customers and always made sure they received the highest quality of service. After selling his dry cleaners, he became an accomplished salesman in the dry cleaning chemical industry, receiving many awards and accolades. Most recently, Sam was a "jack of all trades" at a local high rise apartment building in Dallas; handling facility, security and concierge services. He is described by his former colleagues as a man of integrity, dependable, and faithful. Sam never met a stranger.

A private memorial will be held in Dallas. Donations may be made in honor of Sam to the SPCA The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the medical staff of City Hospital at White Rock.
