Sue Merkel Moser, daughter of Bernard and Anna Merkel, wife to Ken Moser, mother of Cami (Karl) Frasier and Cody (Ana) Holbrook, grandmother to Jon Marc, Matthew and Joshua Frasier and Marco and Elisa Holbrook. She was #7 of 10 children, raised on a farm on a South Dakota reservation. She was an excellent student, clarinet player, and softball player as a youth. She had many jobs - hamburger flipper, wallpaper hanger, salesperson, and a 33 yr federal civil servant. She also represented Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, and Rodan + Fields. Sue loved to serve her Lord and others. She was active in children's church and choir, adult choir, the pregnancy center, preschool ministry, bible studies, Gift of Christmas, and Fall Festival. She was also known as Miss Sue when leading preschool children in worship and in music with her puppet "Scruffy". Sue did not know a stranger. She was a welcoming person who put others before herself. Her joy overflowed in all she did. Whether she was a longtime friend or a brand new acquaintance, the love and fellowship she showed us all was unmistakable. An entertainer to young and old, she has been described by others as "a joyful light to all who had the blessing of knowing her." For 16 years, Sue battled metastatic neuroendocrine carcinoid cancer. She passed peacefully with a smile at home attended by her husband, son, daughter, and son-in-love. She ran a good race and finished with honor. Christ was waiting for her at the finish line. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. at Prestonwood Baptist Church located at 6801 W. Park Blvd, Plano, Texas 75093 with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in her honor to the Prestonwood Baptist Childrens Ministry, Prestonwood Pregnancy Center, or the Redeeming the Time Ministry. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700
