Obituary

Cipriano was born in Dallas, TX in the barrio (neighborhood) known as Little Mexico. He was the son of Cipriano Muoz & Maria del Refugio Rodriguez. He was the youngest son of 15 siblings; four died before he was born. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bromhall Munoz; children - son John Munoz, daughter Cindy Bouchard, step-son Chris McMahon; grandchildren - Ashlee Bowser, Christopher McMahon, Reece McMahon, Maggie Muoz, Hanna Neyland; immediate family members, brothers - Gilbert Muoz, Larry Muoz, Cuauhtmoc Muoz, Henry Muoz; sisters - Guadalupe Maldonado, Consuelo Gutirrez, Esperanza Marceleo, Maria Alcala, Jo DeLira, Gloria Esqueda. The Muoz family extends to approximately 250 descendants. Cip attended Cumberland Hill Elementary then went on to Crozier Tech High School. There he decided to follow the footsteps of 3 of his brothers to become a printer. He started Munoz Printing Inc. in 1971 in his garage and grew this successful company continually for 38 years (1971-2009). He was very involved in the St. Monica Catholic School and Church Men's Club during his children's school years. He shared many stories about the wonderful friends he made over the years. Monsignor McTamney was a close friend and advisor. His passions in life were his family, his company, dancing and music, golf, and snow skiing. Cip was actively involved in many organizations in the Dallas community while running his business: Better Business Bureau '95 Calumet Center '97-'2000 Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau '92-'93 Dallas Crime Commission '92-'93 Dallas Independent Schools District '95-'99 Dallas Mexico Partnership with Mayor Steve Bartlett '92-'95 Dallas Together Forum '91-'93 Dallas Tradefest '95 DART Board Member '89-'91 DISD Site-Base committee '96-'97 Gainesville St School Juvenile Detention Mentor Program 2009-2010 Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce '90-'93 Junior Achievement '96-'99 North Texas Commission '93-'97 Reading Plan for Dallas '96-'99 Texas Assn of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce '94-'98 In 1999, Cip received the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge Leavey Award honoring excellence in Private Enterprise Education. His time spent at the Calumet Community Center was an important mission for him. Funeral Services will be held Thursday Jan 19, 2017. There is a 10:15am Rosary and an 11:00am Mass at All Saints Catholic Church 5231 Meadowcreek Dr, Dallas, TX 75248. A reception in Fellowship Hall will begin immediately after the mass.
