Napier, Ramona B. January 24, 1942 - June 27, 2015 Ramona was born on January 24, 1942 in Kilgore, Texas and passed away peacefully at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano on June 27, 2015 due to complications from a heart attack closely following the death of her husband of almost 44 years, Ken Napier. Ramona was raised in Texas and Louisiana. She graduated from Lamar High School in Houston in 1960. Ramona had Kim, Scott, and Pam from a previous marriage when she met and later married "the love of her life" Kenneth Napier, "Kenny Boy", on November 20, 1971. Together they welcomed Brett to complete their family after moving to Plano, Texas in 1972. Ramona was a loyal employee who helped organize and energize the departments where she worked, regardless of the role she was assigned. She passed along her "Can Do" work ethic to all four of her children. She possessed a very charismatic personality. Her quick wit and sense of humor often left you giggling for hours. Once you met her, you never forgot her. Ramona became a Christian in her 30s and counted the opportunity to travel to Israel, several times to visit and physically walk some of the same terrain as Jesus, as one of her greatest blessings in life on this earth. She was a "Woman of God" and had a passion for teaching God's Word. She led countless Bible studies in many churches and nursing homes in Plano and surrounding areas. She taught classes at Prairie Creek Baptist Church, Grace Outreach Center, and First Christian of Plano amongst many, many others. She helped mentor and lead many to accept Jesus and acknowledge Him as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus alone paid the FULL price for our salvation. She lived her life loving her family and raising her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to know and love the Lord. In addition to her Christian ministries, Ramona also avidly participated in her sons' sports parent organizations often preparing motivational messages and skits to present at the team dinners and meetings. Her impact was far-reaching! Ramona was preceded in death by her beloved husband Kenneth Napier, her son Scott Huckabay, her brother Tom Bowen, her sister Beth Walters, her parents Ramon and Virginia Bowen and her beloved dog "George Dubya". She leaves behind her brother Mike and Jo Dee Bowen; her daughters Kim Trimble and Pam and Jeff Chennault and son Brett and Amy Napier; her grandchildren Jasmine, Stephanie, Garrett, Jaycee, Ayla, Avie and Ainsley; her great-grandchildren Madison, Liam, Anika, and Talon; and a large group including in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family both related and befriended. Ramona chose to be cremated and her ashes will be spread with her husband in a private family ceremony. Thank you to all the family and friends that have reached out to us with your love and support!
