Nathan "Bubba" Manuel, 90, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023. He was born to the late James Manuel and Irene Rowland, February 15, 1933, in Corsicana, TX where he attended Jackson High School.
Nathan was an extremely hard-working servant leader who served our country well. He retired from two wonderful careers. He served over 27 years with the United States Army receiving a Certificate of Retirement as Sergeant 1st Class in 1982. He then served 25 years with the United States Postal Service receiving a Service Award.
He was an active member of Friendship West Baptist Church where he proudly served as the oldest Usher in that ministry. He once told me Pastor Freddie Haynes gave him a hundred-dollar bill for being the oldest usher and he had planned to return it to back to the pastor. Nathan enjoyed going to gospel concerts and attending live Monster Truck Events.
Nathan is survived by two sisters, Betty Ratcliff, and Billie Jean Peay. He is also survived by two daughters, Carol (Dale) and Tanya, 3 grandchildren, Gene, Brandon, and Nathan (Bionca), 5 great grandchildren and a host of loving relatives and friends.
Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
