Robert Allen Nelson, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away on December 11, 2017 at the age of 79 years. He was born to Manville Nelson and Alice Marshall Nelson on January 2, 1938 in Malta, Montana where he was raised with his sister, Patricia. He graduated from Malta High School before going on to attend Concordia College in Minnesota and then on to receive a master's degree from Seattle University. Robert dedicated 31 years to working in High School Education, a career which he loved and always took every opportunity to make a positive impact in student's lives. He worked at Garfield, Nathan Hale, Thomas Jefferson, and Federal Way High School before retiring in 1991. Robert then went on to be a founding co-owner of Technology Express until 2011 when he moved to Flower Mound, Texas. Robert had the supreme ability to make instant friends; connecting in a way that made everyone feel genuinely special. He loved to travel and spend time with his family, he enjoyed a round of golf or a game of tennis with friends, and he didn't consider the day complete without getting his 10,000 steps done. A shining example of a life well lived; Robert was a loving husband, father, grandpa, big papa, father figure, and friend. Although dearly missed, his memory will bring a smile to many. Robert Allen Nelson is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Turid Tharaldsen Nelson, children; Mark (Maryann) & Cami (Alan), grandchildren; Tyler, Angelo, Cailan, Jason, Josh & Erik, great-grandchildren; Mason, Mya, Aleigh, and Emma, as well as extended family and beloved friends.
