In Loving Memory of Nom Manirath

May 6, 1936 – November 3, 2026

Nom Manirath, passed away on November 3, 2026, at the age of 90. Born in Thailand, he made the long journey from Thailand and Laos to the United States with his family, seeking opportunity and a better future. Through hard work and determination, he built a life in America.

Nom was a hardworking man who believed in providing for his family. Fishing was a regular part of his life, both as a cherished pastime and as a way to put food on the table.

A man of strong faith and prayer, he was unwavering in his love for his wife, Foun. Throughout his life, he expressed his devotion to his family through hard work and by providing for their needs.

He was a strict father who kept his children in line and taught them respect and discipline, lessons they carry with them still.

His life was shaped by perseverance, faith, family, and the journey that brought them to America. He leaves behind generations whose lives were shaped by that journey, along with memories and stories that will continue to be shared for years to come.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Foun, five years ago.

He is survived by his ten children: Phetmany, Avee, Pavone, Somphong, Somphone, Phitsamai, Sohnoulai, Sothsai, Vonsai, and Ainoy, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of monetary gifts, the family welcomes donations in his memory to the American Diabetes Association to support diabetes research, education, and care.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. at Aria, 19310 Preston Rd, Dallas, TX 75252.

A reception will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Banana Leaf Thai Cuisine, 17370 Preston Rd #500, Dallas, TX 75252.
