Genelle Teheila Novy, 31, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 22, 2015 at her home in Richardson, TX, from unknown causes. Genelle was born on May 1, 1984 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, to Gene and Gerene Higgins. She moved to the United States when she was 4, and attended Sam Houston State University on a dance scholarship. Achieving a degree in dance, she pursued that profession before eventually becoming the General Manager of the Egg and I in Richardson. Genelle is survived by her spouse, Andrew Novy (31), her daughter Clara Gene (20 months), and her mother, Gerene Higgins. She was universally loved by everyone's life she touched. A Funeral Mass will be Friday August 28, 2015 at 11:00AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 9643 Ferndale Road, Dallas, TX 75238. There will be a viewing prior to the ceremony from 9:30AM to 10:30AM, with a rosary service as well beginning at 10:30AM. The interment will be at 1PM at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 3900 Rowlett Road, Rowlett, TX 75088. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to a college fund for Genelle's daughter, Clara Gene.
