James Edward Oller, 77, of Richland Hills, Texas, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Texas Health Harris Methodist hospital in Bedford. Born in Grayson County, Kentucky to Freddie and Ercell Oller, he lived the first half of his life in Kentucky before settling in Texas to spend the rest of his years. James was a hardworking man who spent many years as a proud member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Local Number 53. In his spare time, he enjoyed Kentucky Wildcats basketball, reading his Bible, attending church and watching TV (especially old westerns and Saturday Night Polka Party). James is survived by his wife and best friend, Mary (Hoskins) Oller; his four sons, Eddie Oller, wife Laura, of Pekin IN, Darryl Oller, wife Teresa, of Okolona KY, Christopher Strickland, wife Tina, of The Colony and Jamie Oller of Richland Hills. He is also survived by his siblings, sister Shirley Bratcher and husband Bill of Louisville, and brother Steve Meredith and wife Loretta of Munfordville; grandchildren Melissa, Andrew, Heather, Ashley and Zachary; great grandchildren Landon as well as his loving dogs, Tully and BooBoo. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Glenn Meredith. The family will receive friends to celebrate his life on Saturday, June 8th, 2019 from 11:00am until 1:00 PM at the Living Word Global Church, 1917 Rindie St. in Irving, TX 75060.
