Obituary

Ona "Onutė" Seputienė, age 81, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, in Irving, Texas.

Ona was born on February 24, 1945, in Tauragė, Lithuania, to the late Kazimieras and Elena Slepavičiai. She spent the greater part of her life in Lithuania, where she built a meaningful career and a deep connection to her community. In 2021, she relocated to Texas to be closer to her daughter and family, a move that brought her great joy—along with cherished time spent with her beloved grand dogs.

A lifelong learner with an insatiable curiosity, Ona dedicated more than 40 years to education. She was a gifted and passionate teacher whose ability to make learning engaging and meaningful left a lasting impression on generations of students. Her love of knowledge extended beyond the classroom and was reflected in her many interests, which included traveling, reading, discovering new things, attending church, and spending time with family and friends.

Ona will be remembered as a warm, loving, and kind-hearted woman whose gentle spirit touched all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Ona was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bronius; her sister, Petrė; her brothers, Antanas, Juozas, and Petras; and her sister-in-law, Janina.

She is survived by her daughter, Ligita, and son-in-law, Harold; her brothers, Stanislovas and Jonas; her goddaughter, Jolanta, and husband, Rolandas; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Ona will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.
