Obituary

Peter J. Orlando, age 74, of Plano, TX went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2019, after a long battle with leukemia. He was born September 5, 1944, in Lancaster, NY to Frank "Chick" and Amy Orlando. Pete served in Germany as an Army Specialist during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Sharpshooter (Rifle) and National Defense Service Medal. He moved to the North Dallas area in the late 70's to pursue his passion in the Automobile/RV business. He was a top salesman and master negotiator working many years in management. He was a collector of corvettes having owned 14, his last one being his beloved Red C4. He brought so much happiness to this unkind world with his compassion for others. He was a kindhearted and generous man that loved life with his family being his pride and joy. Once he entered a room, it came alive due to his amazing sense of humor and great storytelling. He was a lifelong friend to many. Pete is survived by his wife Judy, her mother Nova Krezer. Daughter Cherish Fowler, husband Ken, son Frank "Todd" P. Orlando, wife Sabrina, stepdaughter Kami Taylor, husband Jay. Grandchildren Katelyn Fowler, Jordann Fischer, husband James, Trace and Riley Orlando. Brother Joseph P. Orlando, wife Karen, sister Nina Brown, husband Jerry. Nephew Jim Orlando, wife Laura, grandniece Amy Manchee, husband Zach, nephew Frankie Orlando, wife Janine, grandnephew Luka. Cousins Carmen Wilson, Butchie Oldfield and Babe Neff. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank "Chick" and Amy Orlando. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. Everyone please join us for a Celebration of Petes Life on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Maggianos Little Italy, 6001 W Park Blvd, Plano, TX 75093. Appetizers and buffet in the South Ballroom. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to St Jude Research Hospital, 1-800-822-6344, Tribute Acct # 11661249.
