Ray William Otey "Dub" of The Colony, TX died at home due to natural causes on Tuesday, August 8th, at the age of 80. Ray Otey was born on May 31, 1937 in Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by Ray Sr. and Evelyn Otey. Ray is survived by his wife, Pauline Otey, his children, Cindy and Mark Klapper, Shelly and Steve Wilson, Peggy and Jay Fry, Jeff and Penny Otey, Jill Otey, and Lance and Ronda Otey, his brothers Richard and Robert Otey and their wives, Carol and Laura, grandchildren Garrett and Ryan Klapper, Stephanie and Kevin O'Quin, Jordan and Jessica Wilson, Morgan Wilson, Brett and Janelle Fry, Grant Fry, Gretchen Otey, Zoe Otey, Jeffrey Corbett, Abigayle Zimmerman, Elijah Otey, and Samantha, Morgan, and James Anderson, as well as great-grandchild, Iris O'Quin, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family, and a host of friends. He married Pauline Otey in 1977. Ray worked as an insurance adjuster, and retired in 1999. His children remember him as a very devoted, kind, and loving father who encouraged them to pursue Christ and their goals. Sempre Fidelis: Always faithful; once a marine, always a marine. He was a generous man who loved his family and who was passionate about the Marine Corps and service to his country and mankind. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00-7:00 PM, Sunday, August 13th at Aria Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Ray's life. There will be a committal service with Marine honors at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 14, 2017 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
