Pat Lockhart was born August 16, 1933 in Kansas City, Missouri to parents Cecil Joseph Prashaw, and Ova Lucille Barnett Prashaw. Pat's father was a traveling salesman in the early days of Frigidaire home appliances. The family moved to Dallas, Texas in her early years settling in the Lakewood area. In her teenage years the family moved to a farm near Dayton Ohio as Pat's mother aspired to living on a farm raising sheep and keeping horses. Pat graduated from a local high school going on to attend the University of Cincinnati. She graduated from the university of Cincinnati in 1955 with a bachelor's degree in home economics, and was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. While at the university of Cincinnati, she met her future husband, Hugh Lockhart.
In 1956 Pat married Hugh and they moved to Dallas, Texas where Hugh began his electrical engineer career. Pat was employed in a secretarial position at the Mobil building in Dallas for 2 years. She gave birth to their first child, Debbie in 1958. The family soon moved to Richardson Tx. Pat gave birth to Jim in 1961, and to Michael in 1968. The family then moved to their longtime home in Plano, Tx in 1969.
Pat truly enjoyed music, and became an accomplished pianist. Also, she greatly enjoyed her involvement in the Dallas chapter of the Alpha Omicron Pi alumni. Pat loved the beach, and collecting shells soon became her passion. She joined the North Texas Concholological Society becoming a long-time officer and avid supporter. Outside of Pat's joy in her family, her fondest memories were her travels and snorkeling excursions collecting shells around the world. Pat was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Plano, A founding member of West Plano Presbyterian Church, and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Plano, Tx where she and Hugh served as deacons, and was active in the S.T.A.R.S. group.
Pat was an adventurous yet very practical soul. She deeply loved her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her church family. She was a person that truly found enjoyment in the happiness of those around her, and in offering encouragement and prayer. She is fondly remembered for her steadfast faith and beautiful, kind spirit.
Pat and Hugh were married for 58 years on Hugh's passing in 2014.

Memorial Service: A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Grace Presbyterian Church 4300 W Park Blvd., Plano, Texas at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in Pat's memory to the music program Grace Presbyterian Church.
