We're gathering to tip our hats to the incomparable Patricia Ann "Pat" Nokes, whose final curtain call was on April 8, 2024, in Justin, Texas. Born on October 8, 1948, in Hillsboro, Texas, Pat took a 75-year-long bow on life's stage, leaving us with memories brighter than the spotlight she so often stole.
Pat, a master of merriment and maestro of fun, was a mother extraordinaire and a Mema beyond compare. She had a knack for turning a dull moment into a dance-off and could out-craft any contestant on a reality TV show. A karaoke queen and a board game strategist, Pats laughter was our favorite tune, and her moves could outshine the disco ball.
Leslie Nokes, her partner-in-crime and loving husband, survives her. He's now tasked with trying to fill her dancing shoes-a feat we all know is impossible. Her daughters, Misty Keith (Kelly), Lesa Keith, and Cheryl Matthews (Craig), will carry on her legacy of love and laughter. Continuing to be the audience of her lifes joyful echoes are her grandchildren; Ashley & Bobby Tracy, Brittany & AJ Pennington, Stephanie Cefalu and Serenity, Clara, Abigail, Samantha Matthews . Her great-grandchildren; Wyatt, Cash, Kacyn & Harper Tracy, Colton, Avery, Mason & Whitley Pennington.
Pat's band of brothers-Charles Foster, Johnny Wood, Michael Foster, and Gary Foster-will keep the bassline of her memory thumping. She's now harmonizing in the great beyond with her predeceased family band members: her father, Charles Foster, her mother, Thelma Foster, and her sister, Jean Chambers, who no doubt have the stage set for her grand arrival.
Join us for a standing ovation and a celebration of Pat's encore at Aria Cremation & Funeral Services.
